"You have made us for Yourself, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in You."

-Saint Augustine

"It doesn’t happen all at once . . . You become. It takes a long time. That’s why it doesn’t happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don’t matter at all, because once you are Real you can’t be ugly, except to people who don’t understand."

-Margery Williams in The Velveteen Rabbit

And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.

Donate to polis recovery project

Polis is a 501c3 nonprofit organization financially supported through the charitable giving of individuals, families and churches, who believe in the vitality, wisdom and Kingdom impact of Christian counseling. As a nonprofit organization, we strive to make resources available to all people, so that finances are not a barrier in seeking help. In order to sustain the viability of the ministry, the suggested rate of donation per session is $125. Some give more or less, and others are supported by their family and/or local church. Polis gives away 5% of all donations to support mercy ministries.
